Hi my name is Regina, and my second name is Kioko, but you can call me Kio.

I’m a Nippon- Brazilian illustrator living in Lugano, Switzerland since 2010.

I have a degree in Architecture at the Mackenzie University-SP.  As my passion has always been drawing and painting I decided to do two years in Fine Arts at FAAP-SP and thereafter won a scholarship in painting and drawing in Florence from the Istituto dell’Arte e Restauro di Firenze.

What defines my work is undoubtedly the aesthetic result, a cultural junction that influences my work, where the patience and meticulousness inherent in Japanese culture, contrasts with the exuberance of shapes and colors that are revealed in the Brazilian nature. This intertwining of culture, in which I was born and raised, has allowed me to absorb the world so joyful and fun.
